好一場狀元第中的元圓茶會 | Yuanyuan Tea Gathering in Jia Yuan Hall
八月二十八日，元圓茶會在蘇州彭狀元第舉行。
On August 28th, Yuanyuan Tea Gathering was held in Jia Yuan Hall, Suzhou.
這是「2020-2021中西傳統藝術展」的系列活動之一，三十餘名來自各地的文化專家、茶道名家、非遺傳人、中心學員和藝術家、設計師、媒體人、企業家等參加了此次茶會雅聚。
This is one of the activities of "2020-2021 End of Year Exhibition" series. It was attended by more than 30 cultural experts, tea ceremony masters, intangible cultural heritage masters, as well as China Centre’s students, artists, media professionals, and entrepreneurs from different fields.
葉放先生代表元圓堂也代表中國中心的導師，與各位嘉賓分享了英國王儲基金會傳統藝術學院中國中心三年來的教學思想，查爾斯王儲“通過創辦傳統藝術學校，我致力於推動世界各地神聖而傳統的藝術形式，使這些活著的傳統得以延續”的辦學宗旨，中國中心理論和實踐相結合的辦學經驗，以及其在當代語境實現中西方傳統藝術的傳承和發揚的辦學理念，深受與會嘉賓們的認同。
On behalf of Yuan Centre and the tutors of PFSTA China Centre, Mr. Ye Fang shared with the guests the teaching concept of The Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts China Centre over the past three years. The mission of the school of traditional art, which was advocated by Prince Charles HRH “through my school for the traditional arts, I have tried to do what I can to continue the living traditions of the world’s sacred and traditional art forms…I hope that the school’s practical teaching and outreach programmes will enable the next generation to bring their inheritance to life.”The harmony of theory and practice, and the concept of inheritance and develop Chinese and Western traditional art in the contemporary context, were recognized by the guests.

接著各位嘉賓在欣賞“2020-2021中西傳統藝術展”的優秀作品後，對中國中心中西傳統藝術結合的課程表達出極大的興趣，而與會的本屆學員也就學習的體會和體驗以及未來的建議和期待進行了視頻的分享。
After appreciating the artworks of the "2020-2021 End of Year Exhibition", participants expressed great interest in the art courses of China Centre. Previous alumni in the audience also shared their study experiences and spoke about their hopes for the China Centre.
四處席茶佈置經典，茶器和傢俱的搭配精緻到位；多處插花陳設優美，素材和造型的設計寓意深遠。
The tea serving was arranged in a classical setting, in keeping with the architectural style of the hall.Flower arrangements were made in styles inspired by the aesthetics of the occasion.
室內煎茶和工夫茶各臻其妙，爐煙裊繞中茶香四溢；室外山水和花草樹木交相掩映，泉流潺潺中綠蔭婆娑，如詩如畫的景觀和意象，瀰漫起一派文會雅集的理想情境。
In the hall, the guest enjoyed both Steamed Green tea and its brewing process, with tea scent around them.

Tea Sampling and Discussion
於是，有關籌備成立“英國王儲基金會傳統藝術學院中國中心校友會”的探討由此展開，有趣的是，話題很快引發了除歷屆學員之外的嘉賓熱情關注，人們紛紛獻計獻策，一致希望通過校友會的建立，以藝為由，以雅為聚，定期舉辦相關的活動，教學相長，以形成一個推動中西傳統藝術繼承與發展的交流平台。
An engaged discussion about establishing an "Alumni Association of PFSTA China Centre" was initiated by an alumnus. The topic attracted not only Centre’s former students but also participants who were interested in taking part in China Centre’s activities. An exchange platform that promotes the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese and Western arts on the long term should be a welcome addition to the cultural life of Suzhou.
夏末初秋的狀元第中，“蟬噪林愈靜，鳥鳴山更幽”，借樓半軒與漢雅戲台臨波相對，形成一個絕佳的演藝場域，水殿斜陽，荷風送涼。
Jia Yuan Hall at the late summer and early autumn. “The cicada’s sound brings out the quiet of the trees, the birds singing emphasizes the silence of the mountain.” Guests listened to guqin music across the pond from the stage.
伴隨古琴輕撫，年輕琴家吟唱的《陽關三疊》悠然傳來，“渭城朝雨浥輕塵，客舍青青柳色新，”把大家帶入幽情雅韵的沉浸。然而餘音未止，一折昆曲《牡丹亭》的“遊園”，又讓所有的嘉賓驚艷不已，杜麗娘與春香的清雅之聲繞樑不絕。
The Guqin master sang a carefree and leisurely song “Yang Guan San Die”. The final performance was Kunqu Opera “You Yuan” from “The Peony Pavilion”, with elegant arias of ‘Du Liniang’ and ‘Chunxiang’.
此時此刻，一句“傳統藝術的傳承和發揚，其實就在我們日常生活之中”的感慨，似乎成為了每一位與會者心頭的迴盪。
At this moment in time, The idea of“The inheritance and development of traditional art actually in our daily lives” became the consensus of every attendee.
